FAQs
I'm a brand new teacher. How do I create an account?
Answer: Please contact your Region Executive Secretary to begin the process of setting up your user account on texasmusicforms.com. When reaching out, be sure to provide the following information:
- Full Name
- School Name
- Ensemble Type (e.g., Band, Choir, Orchestra)
- Personal Email Address
- Cell Phone Number
The Region Executive Secretary will get your account created and provide your Username and instructions for creating a password.
I've forgotten my login/user name. Should I create a new account?
Please do not attempt to create a new account on texasmusicforms.com. Having duplicate accounts can cause serious issues with your entries. If you are unsure of your username or login information, contact your Region Executive Secretary. They can look up your existing username and help you regain access to your account.
I am moving to another school within the same Region. What do I do?
Accounts on texasmusicforms.com are tied to both a specific person and a school. If you've moved to a new school, you will need a new account associated with your new school. Please contact your Region Executive Secretary to have a new account created for you.
I am moving to another school in another Region. What should I do?
Accounts on texasmusicforms.com are tied to a specific region, person, and school. If you've moved to a new school in a different region, you will need a new account associated with your new school. Please contact your new Region Executive Secretary to have a new account created for you.
I teach at two different schools. Do I need two different accounts?
Yes, you should have one account for each school and program you are involved with. This ensures that all entry records are accurately displayed and associated with the correct school. If you need an additional account, please contact your Region Executive Secretary to set one up.
I teach groups from the same school that go to contests in different regions. What should I do?
If you participate in events across multiple regions, you can have an alternate region added to your account. This allows you to access the appropriate events in both your home region and your alternate region. To do this, work with your Region Executive Secretary, and they will update your account accordingly.
My coworker can't get into their account. Can I create their entries for them?
Entries are tied to the director who originally entered them, and this cannot be changed. If the wrong director submits an entry, their name will remain attached to it. The only way to correct this is to delete the entry and have the correct director re-enter it. However, this may not be possible if the entry deadline has already passed. Please ensure that the correct director is logged in before submitting any entries.
What do I do if I don't know my TEA number?
If your account is set up correctly, your TEA code should automatically populate when you click on one of the entry tabs for a UIL contest. If this does not happen, the entry may not save correctly. To resolve this, double-check that your account is set up under the correct school. If needed, you can look up your TEA code here (link to TEA School Finder). Contact your Region Executive Secretary if the issue persists.
Why isn't my entry showing up in Area Band?
Check your director profile to make sure you have the correct Region and Performance Conference selected. If these are incorrect, contact your Region Executive Secretary to have your account updated. Once corrected, you will need to re-enter your students to ensure entries are tied to the proper Region and Conference.
