How Can I Correct the Event Code on a Student Entry?

If a student's entry has an incorrect Event Code, it can be corrected by simply editing the entry.

Example:

A student was qualified at a regional event, but the Event Code for Trombone Solo was mistakenly selected. In reality, the student performed on the Euphonium. In this case, while the PML Number was entered correctly, the instrument and event code do not match the actual performance.

This ensures the student is properly categorized and evaluated based on their actual instrument and performance.

Steps to Correct the Entry:

  1. Log in to the Region account as the Region Executive Secretary.
  2. Navigate to the student entry list and locate the entry that needs to be corrected.
  3. Click the pencil icon ✏️ next to the entry to open it for editing.
  4. Update both the Event Code and the Instrument to reflect what the student actually performed.
  5. Click "Update Entry" to save the changes.

Important Notes:

  • Once updated, the corrected information will automatically be reflected in both the Director's view and the State Administrator's view.
  • Be sure to verify that the PML Number still matches the new instrument and event.

NOTE: THIS SHOULD ONLY BE DONE IF THE EVENT CODE AND THE INSTRUMENT THE STUDENT PLAYED ARE INCORRECT.
